Weak intermediate vector bosons and DUMAND
Description
Theoretical predictions for the total cross sections in the production of the intermediate vector bosons by neutrino, muon and proton collisions with nuclei are discussed. An extension of the previous estimates to the higher energies relevant to DUMAND (deep underwater muon and neutrino detector) is presented. In the neutrino-initiated production, the coherent and incoherent rates are compared with the inelastic rate. The boson mass range and the weak couplings are those of the standard Weinberg-Salam model with the Weinberg angle determined from low energy experiments
