Description
A method for verification of matching of reference samples in quantitative x-ray fluorescence analysis of a given material has been suggested. The concept consists of a comparison of the results obtained in both the x-ray fluorescence and the γ-ray transmission measurements. The method has been applied for the determination of iron in Ivorien clays. The presented procedure can be useful in any case, when reference samples of exactly the same material as that to be analysed, are not available. (author)
