Absorption line shifts of Al, Ca, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ga, In, Mg and Sr vapours in argon, nitrogen and helium

Description

Using the Fabry-Perot interferometer and technique of the atomic-adsorption measurements with the graphite furnace atomizer, the values of collisional shifts of resonance absorption lines of metal vapours: Al 396.0 nm; Al 309.3 nm; Ca 422.7 nm; Cd 326.1 nm; Cr 425.4 nm; Cu 324.7 nm; Ga 417.0 nm; In 303.9 nm; Mg 285.2 nm; Sr 460.7 nm - in argon, nitrogen and helium at the pressure of poiser gases 140 kPa at temperatures from 1500 to 2200 K are determined. It is shown that the close in value ''red'' shift is observed in argon and nitrogen for the whole investigated lines, except for the line In 303.9 nm (for this line the shift in nitrogen is practically absent). In helium in the most cases the insignificant ''violet'' shift of resonance absorption line is observed, except for the line Sr 460.7 nm, for which the ''red'' shift, comparable on the value with the shift in argon and nitrogen, is recorded
