Compact experiments for α-particle heating
Creators
Description
It is proposed to develop a line of compact devices in which sufficiently high plasma currents can be induced to confine the 3.5 MeV α-particles that are produced in D-T reactions. This line is suggested as a parallel program to the development of large volume tokamaks which is being undertaken on a worldwide basis. (U.K.)
