Decision fundamentals for emergencies in fuel fabrication plants
Description
This report is a compilation of fundamental physical and chemical data for emergencies in fuel element fabrication facilities. The release of uranium and plutonium and a criticality accident constitute the main hazards to be considered. In addition information related to the chemical risk of a release of toxic uranium hexafluoride is included in the report. This fundamental information is to be applied in planning emergency measures and could be useful as advisory material for the emergency staff. (orig.)

Der vorliegende Bericht enthaelt fachliche Grundlagen und physikalisch-chemische Daten, die bei Notfaellen in Brennelementfabriken und bei Entscheidungen ueber Hilfs- und Rettungsmassnahmen nuetzlich sein koennen. Als wesentliche Gefahren sind Freisetzungen von Uran und Plutonium sowie Kritikalitaet zu beruecksichtigen. Auch die chemischen Risiken einer Freisetzung von Uranhexafluorid werden in dem Bericht behandelt. Die fachlichen Grundlagen zu den wesentlichen Gefahren bei der Brennelementherstellung koennen bei der Planung von Notfallschutzmassnahemen und zur Schulung des Betriebspersonals verwendet werden.
