Description
License renewal for nuclear power plant is attached with great significance and economic benefit, also it is the major trend for the development of international nuclear power plants. License renewal demonstration for nuclear power plant mainly consists of two parts: safety assessment and environmental effects assessment. Current safety assessment implemented in foreign nuclear power plants principally adopted License renewal and Intensified PSR. By comparison the experience from home and aboard and integration of the requirements from NNSA, the methodology for License renewal will be referred to implement the related work, such as CLB, Scoping and Screening, AMR, TLAA, Document up version etc. when license renewal safety assessment is to be implemented in China's nuclear power plants. At the same time, being absent of methodologies, data and assessment standards, it's suggested that technical research could be developed around the aging mechanism cognition for component material, inspection/supervision techniques, life evaluation techniques and aging mitigation techniques through practices from Daya Bay Nuclear Power plant License Renewal Demonstration, so as to solve the technical problems faced by AMR and TLAA. In this case, technical support can be supplied for safety assessment on nuclear power plant license renewal. (authors)
