Description

Several kinds of paper such as newsprint, duplicating paper, brown paper and writing paper were irradiated by electron beam with different doses. Some physical properties were measured. When irradiated by 20-30 kGy, less than 25% of changes occurred on base weight, brightness, tear resistance, tensile strength and folding endurance for duplicating paper, showing that the paper kept at B level after the irradiation. The results are analyzed, and the mechanism of radiation effects is discussed. (authors)
