The nuclear sector in India: a world apart?

Description

This article comments some basic data regarding electricity production in India, recalls the history and context of the development of the civilian nuclear sector (international context, technological choices), evokes the various Indian institutions involved in the nuclear sector, comments the fact that India did not sign the NPT and the evolutions associated with cooperation agreements with France, with the United States and with Russia in 2008 and 2009. A map indicates the locations of Indian nuclear organisations and installations
