On forming a strong current pulse in parabolic lenses
Description
Problems of the construction of a 500 ka pulse current power supply system for three parabolic lenses are considered. The power supply system is designed for meson focusing in neutrino experiments at the IHEP accelerator. The basic diagram for a pulse generator has been chosen that consists of a set of similar modules with capacitive energy storages. The results of testing the generator mockups are presented. It is shown that the elongation of the working part of the current pulse by means of correction of its vertex will allow to use a focusing device in neutrino experiments at 500 GeV accelerator
