The cesium from environment to man
Description
This work is divided in three parts. The first one is devoted to the physical and chemical properties of cesium, and gives the different sources of cesium. The second one tackles the cesium in environment: atmosphere, soils, plants and forests (with mushrooms), the aquatic media in fresh water, the sea media, the food chain. The third part concerns the dosimetry and biological effects. A chapter treats the impact of cesium after the Chernobyl accident. (N.C.)
