Description

Theoretical analysis of the L3-edge XANES spectra of some actinide oxides was performed by the self-consistent full multiple scattering method. XANES simulations were made for the clusters of Pu oxides and colloid solutions. Density function theory was applied to generate possible models of Pu co-ordination in colloidal solutions. The reasons for variations of the actinide L3-edge white lines intensities are discussed. (authors)
