On polarization effects in neutrino annihilation of colliding electron-positron beams
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR). Kafedra Teoreticheskoj Fiziki
Description
Calculated are differential and total cross sections of annihilation process of arbitrary polarized electrons and positrons into a pair of neutrino-antineutrino. The above process is conditioned by (S,P,T)- and (V,A)-variants of weak interaction of neutral currents of neutrino and electrons. While taking account of initial particle polarization, it is possible to distinguish contributions of (S,P,V)- and (V,A)-types of connection of neutral currents. At parallel cross polarization of e+ and e-, the contribution into cross section is provided by only S- and T-variants, and at antiparallel polarization it is provided only by P- and T-variants of interaction. In the case of (V,A)-variant and cross polarization, cross section of e+ and e- possesses azimuthal asymmetry
