Air transport in crisis and the climate challenge; towards new paradigms - Opinion No.13

Description

On 11 and 12 March 2021, the Air and Space Academy (AAE) organised a conference on the theme 'Air transport in crisis and the climate challenge; towards new paradigms' to address the issue of decarbonising air transport without taboos or concessions, give a voice to younger generations and hear the views expressed by representatives of continents other than Europe. Opinion 13 is the result of discussions that took place at this conference and subsequent work carried out internally by AAE and contains recommendations focused on five areas: climate issues, technological choices, incentives for carriers and infrastructure managers, effective international harmonisation and the need for a citizens' dialogue for the air transport of tomorrow
