Determination of the distance of the Sun from the galactic centre according to radial velocities of O and B stars

Description

The distance of the Sun from the centre of the Galaxy is estimated with the help of three kinematical methods. A final value of 8.1 kpc is adopted. The estimate is obtained on the basis of observational data on radial velocities of 235 O and B stars
