Where does particle physics go?
Description
Today research in particle physics represents about 20.000 researchers worldwide, including 13.000 working at CERN. The standard model is a new milestone of knowledge, it has allowed the assessment of all the measurements made in high energy particle accelerators so far and the re-writing of the universe history. However, all the fundamental questions of the universe have not yet been set. The main remaining issues to deal with are: dark matter and black energy, Higgs boson's mass, the cosmological constant, vacuum energy, the fate of antimatter in the universe, the enigmatic neutrinos and quantum gravity.
