Phase-contrast detection of telescope seeing errors and their correction
Description
The technique of phase-contrast microscopy applied to a telescope permits the detection and correction of phase errors in real time. These corrections can be separately for two or more levels of the atmosphere. It may be possible to correct the seeing errors in a circular patch up to 2' in diameter about a reference star m/subv/approx.11 or brighter
