Coprecipitation of transuranium elements from alkaline solutions by the method of appearing reagents. 14. Reduction of Np(5) and coprecipitation with Cr(3) hydroxide

Description
Reduction of Np(5) (2·10-4 mol/l) in NaOH solutions was investigated by spectrophotometric method. Hydrazine nitrate, sodium dithionite, vanadyl sulfate proved to be effective reducing agents. Coprecipitation of microquantities of 237Np(5) + 239Np(5) isotope mixture with chromium hydroxide was studied by radiometric method. Purification coefficient of 1 mol/l NaOH solution from neptunium in the presence of above-named reagents was equal 400 and decreased with NaOH concentration increase
Abstract (Russian)
Спектрофотометрическим методом исследовано восстановление 2·10-4 моль/л Np(5) в растворах NaOH. Эффективными восстановителями оказались нитрат гидразина, дитионит натрия, сульфат ванадила. Радиометрическим методом изучено соосаждение микроколичеств изотопной смеси 237Np(5) + 239Np(5) с гидроксидом хрома. Коэффициент очистки раствора 1 моль/л NaOH от нептуния в присутствии вышеназванных реагентов составил около 400 и уменьшался с ростом концентрации NaOHAdditional details
