Manganese effect on the microstructure and properties of alloy low-carbon steel
- 1. Lipetskij Politekhnicheskij Inst. (USSR)
Description
Manganese effect on microstructure and properties of chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels, melted in the induction furnace in argon atmosphere has been studied. Homogenizing annealing of ingots is carried out. The methods of dilatometry, metallography, X-ray magnetic and mechanical tests, have been used. It is shown that steels with manganese additions possess a high complex of mechanical properties. Athermal diagrams are built, temperature position of critical points and critical rates of cooling at which excessive ferrite separations are suppressed, are determined
