Occupational and environmental risk assessment problems in central European countries, needs and what has been achieved - Poland as an example

The externally imposed system of planified economy inhibited the development of methods of risk assessment in the countries of Central Europe. The trends in using the experience of other countries and the help of foreign experts is determining realistic hygienic norms at the workplace, limiting the hazards for the natural environment, increasing the safety of industrial installations and transporting dangerous substances will be discussed.
