On some features of Amg6 alloy overburning
Creators
Description
An analysis was made into the changes of AMg6 alloy microstructure on heating within the temperature range providing for overburning. It is revealed that the occurrence of overburning is related to a decrease of nouniform etching capacity in as-cast condition and to formation of banded structure under deformation. In addition, the overburning results in partial melting down and causes brittle fracture later on. Refs. 1
