The discharge phenomena of neutral gas by the electron beam
- 1. Ehime Univ., Matsuyama (Japan). Faculty of Science
Description
The transient development of the beam-plasma system produced by Beam-plasma-Discharge (B.P.D) emitting the electron beam into Ar has been studied. Before and after the B.P.D ignition, the pattern of waves that appear in the system drastically changes. And the energy distribution function of the electron beam begins to collapse from the B.P.D ignition, and changes flat finally. This fact shows that the B.P.D is the non-linear phenomena between electron beam and plasma waves. (author)
