Quality control of nuclear medicine equipment

In order to determine functional status and integrity of installations and equipment used in nuclear medicine in everyday medical practice or in research studies, it is important to maintain and implement quality control program. For this type of installation are required high standards, particularly with regard to qualitative and quantitative analysis of the image, and volume measurements in diagnosis and dosimetry. Given the precarious situation of the economy in transition, nuclear medicine departments in the republic, now, can not be always of service contracts with providers of facilities and equipment for routine maintenance and periodic calibration.
