Adjustment of the RF System Parameters for the VINCY Cyclotron

Description
Nominal radio-frequency (RF) system parameters, defined in the initial stage of cyclotron design, do not result in the best achievable acceleration efficiency. The underlying reason for that is the incapability of the obtained magnetic structure to yield perfect isochronism. We suggest a method of adjustment of the RF system parameters, that results in the best possible acceleration efficiency for a given, measured, magnetic field map. (author)
