CQL: a computational program for uncertainty evaluation and quality control of metrology laboratories

We present a software, developed at CRCN-CNEN, to evaluate uncertainties and quality control in metrology laboratories. Although it has been built for ionizing radiation measurements, the program is adaptable to be used in other type of laboratory as the chemical analysis, for instance. The program was developed based on the ISO issue: Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement. Its interface was designed using C++ language with database tools and visual environment to display the two statistical quality control graphs. Beside providing a value for the expanded uncertainty reporting, it also allows to make a statistical evaluation of uncertainty either by varying the input influence quantities or by choosing some coverage probability.
