Description
The change of vacancy concentration in α-LiIO3 single crystal under the action of an electrostatic field was investigated by positron annihilation lifetime spectra. The positron annihilation mechanism is interpreted by a trapping model in which the escape rate cannot be neglected. A complicated relationship between the average lifetime, which can reflect the vacancy concentration, and field strength was observed. (Auth.)
