A modified Austern-Blair theory for weakly absorbed particles
Description
Closed expressions for the radial integrals appearing in DWBA for first order excitations have been derived. It is found that for weakly absorbed particles these integrals are very sensitive not only to the elastic scattering phase-shifts, as predicted by the Austern-Blair theory, but also to the relative phases of the Bessel functions.
