Antireflecting sublayers for neutron thin film polarising mirrors
Description
Measurements of the neutron polarizing capability of Iron/Cobalt thin film mirrors deposited onto various Gadolinium-rich antireflecting sublayers are presented and the results are compared with theoretical predictions. Excellent results were obtained in the cold neutron region though a degradation in performance is predicted in the thermal region at wavelengths about 1A. (Copyright
