Palladium and potassium double phosphate in alkali element chloride melt

Description

Palladium and potassium double phosphates prepared by several methods have been studied. Using the methods of chemical, X-ray and thermogravimetric analyses the solid phase has been identified as double phosphate of palladium and potassium in the form KPdPO4. Solubility of the compound prepared in the melt NaCl-KCl has been studied at the temperatures: T=700, 750, 800 deg C. Stability of the double phosphate of palladium and potassium as to equilibrium melt NaCl-KCl in the presence of chlorinating agent is studied. Influence of the melt NaCl-KCl on composition and properties of separated solid phase is considered. It is established that the phase obtained as well as rare earth and uranium phosphates are stable to the melts of alkali metal chlorides
