Determination of the 119Sn Moessbauer isomer shift calibration constant by the electron capture Δλ/λ method
Creators

Description
The chemical changes Δλ/λ in the electron capture by the 113Sn nucleus probability λ are measured and used for the determination of the electron density on the tin nuclei differences Δρ(0) and for the calibration of the 119Sn Moessbauer γ-transition isomer shift (δ). The value of the calibration constant α = δ/Δρ(0) = 0.037±0.0015 mm*s-1/a. u. corresponds to the mean experimental value of the ratio (Δλ/λ)/δ = (1.51±0.06)*10-4 mm-1*s. The corresponding values of the 119Sn nuclear radius change are: Δ = (2.91±0.11)*10-3fm2, ΔR/R = (0.69±0.03)*10-4. (author)
