On the instability of film boiling in a liquid flow
Description
In the framework of the linear theory the effect of liquid flow on the development of film boiling instability is analyzed. The case of boiling in saturated liquid flowing along the vertical surface is considered. Determination of the conditions for the interphase boundary instability existence is turned to the dispersion equation analysis. It is established that the increase in the liquid velocity causes the interphase boundary phase velocity increase and wave length decrease
