Synthesis and properties of gadolinium and lutetium oxyiodides

Description

Consideration is given to results of synthesis and spectroscopic studies of gadolinium and lutetium oxyiodides, activated by praseodymium, neodymium, samarium and europium. The compounds were prepared in result of solid-phase reaction in stoichiometric mixture of metallic lanthanide, elementary iodine and corresponding oxides, alloyed with mentioned above lanthanides
