Quality control handbook in mammography
Description
The publication describes a code of practice for quality control in mammography. The handbook is mainly intended for radiographers, and contains technical aspects with respect to X-ray equipment, film processing and viewing conditions. Methods for evaluating image quality with technical phantoms and calculation of dose to glandular tissue are also included. Measuring devices and quality control equipment needed for the different constancy tests and status tests are described. Tolerances to the test results are given, and when the measurements confirm values outside these tolerances, certain efforts are suggested. 5 refs., 12 figs
