Description
The method based on the measurement of proton beam energies using the non-resonant direct-capture reaction 16O(p,γ)17F* with both charged and neutral projectiles was applied to perform the energy calibration of the 3 MV Tandetron™ accelerator throughout the nominal energy range. The uncertainty of the beam energy was found to be well within the accuracy specified by the manufacturer. No deviations from the linearity were revealed.
