Vortices with a nonuniform group velocity

Description

An equation describing vortices produced by a spatially nonuniform upper-hybrid pump wave, in an inhomogeneous plasma, is derived. The vortex group velocity is assumed to be spatially nonuniform and the consequences of this assumption are discussed. (au)
