Search for the 2γ - decay of axion-like particles at the SIN -beam dump

Description
A search was made for pairs of almost collinear photons, as expected from the decay of axion-like particles emitted from the SIN 585 MeV proton beam-dump. No 2γ - decay signal was found in excess of the background. Limits on production and decay of axion-like particles are derived. (author)
