On the possibility of measurement of the Weinberg angle in the pair conversion of the 2s1/2 → 1s1/2 μ- mesoatom transition
Description
The possibility of determination of the sin2 ΘW parameter (where ΘW is Weinberg angle) according to the P-odd correlations in spectra of pair conversion electrons and positrons of the 2S1/2 →> 1S1/2 μ- mesoatom transition of the range 23 ≤ Z ≤ 42 (Z is the nucleus charge) is studied. The scale estimations of intensities of accompanying background processes hindering reliable theoretical interpretation of P-odd effects are made. It is shown that arrangement of the experiment on measuring sin2ΘW at accuracy of several per cent order in the process of pair conversion is apparantly inexpedient
