Description

In the present work, proton induced nuclear reactions on some natural targets relevant to medical and industrial applications were studied in order to optimize the production conditions of these important radioisotopes. The present data together with the literature data should allow reliable modeling for accelerator-based production of the important isotopes. For this purpose, the excitation functions were studied by the activation method using stacked-foil technique for the following nuclear reactions: Proton induced nuclear reactions on natural strontium for the production of the 88,87m,g,86m,gY isotopes, the reactions were studied from the threshold energy up to 18 MeV. The experimental results were compared with the literature data as well as with the theoretical data from E M P I R E-3.2.2 code and T E N D L-2017. Integral yields of 88,87m,g,86m,gY were calculated based on the measured cross sections. Proton induced nuclear reactions on natural Molybdenum for the production of the 93(m+g),94m,g,95m,g,96(m+g),99mTc, 92m,95Nb isotopes, the reactions were studied from the threshold energy up to 18 MeV. The experimental results were compared with the literature data as well as with the theoretical data from E M P I R E-3.2.2 code and T E N D L- 2017. Integral yields of 93(m+g),94m,g,95m,g,96(m+g),99mTc were calculated based on the measured cross sections.
