Doses to the public at Jabiru and Jabiru East due to Ranger Uranium Mine
Description
The background radon daughter concentration was calculated for Jabiru and Jabiru East and found to be 2.6 mWL and 3.6 mWL respectively. A model was developed to calculate the radiation dose to members of the public living at Jabiru and Jabiru East townships. The effective dose equivalent for the period July 1988 to June 1989 was calculated to be 73 μSv and 104 μSv for Jabiru and Jabiru East inhabitants respectively. 4 tabs., 2 figs
