CsHg2Br5-Cs2BaBr4 and CsHg2Br5-BaBr2 sections of ternary HgBr2-BaBr2-CsBr

Description
CsHg2Br5-Cs2BaBr4 and CsHg2Br5-BaBr2 sections of ternary HgBr2-BaBr2-CsBr ternary system are investigated by differential thermal and x ray phase analysis methods. CsHg2Br5-Cs2BaBr4 section appears to be a section of ternary mutually reversible CsHg2Br5-CsHgBr3-Cs2BaBr4-BaBr2 system, i.e. a nonquasibinary section. CsHg2Br5-BaBr2 system state diagram appears to be a quasibinary eutectic one with eutectics coordinates, making up 5 mol.% of BaBr2 and 245 deg C. Fields of primary and combined phase crystallization are determined. The arrangement of sections is confirmed by the results of the x ray phase analysis
