Summary with respect to the use of the Comédie Loop: (i) KFA is interested in loop tests in the Siloe reactor and, from a technical point of view, is inclined to support the demonstration of feasibility and availability of the Comédie loop until 1980. (ii) KFA is interested in a long-term loop test after 1980 (fuel testing to full burn-up and dose). (iii) The KFA interests in the special loop facilities of fission product deposition and safety experiments (blowdown, water ingress) will be stated later this year. (iv) The CENG loop programme will consist of loop testing without fuel Nov/Dec 77, loop testing with French fuel compacts in spring 1978, and will be available for testing of German fuel balls by September 1978. CENG (M. Veyrat) will prepare nucleonic and thermal data according to specifications given for the irradiation of 6 balls and present these results at KFA in October 1977.
