On influence of short-term high-temperature heatings on doscontinuous precipitation rate of γ'-phase in the 36 NKhTYu alloy at various ageing temperatures
- 1. Sibirskij Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst., Tomsk (USSR)
Description
In order to develop a thermal treatment method which provides homogeneous bulk strengthening of a dispersion hardening of 36NKhTYu alloy according to discontinuous segregation mechanism, the effect has been studied of short-time heatings at ageing 600-800 deg C temperatures on mechanical properties and structure. It is shown that intermediate heatings to 930 deg C for 3.5 and 10 sec increase markedly the strength without decreasing plasticity. They can thus be used for thermal treatment of alloys with initial structure coarse grain
