Current status of perovskite in X-ray detection for medical imaging technology

Description
The X-ray imaging is a powerful tool used in medical diagnostics, non-destructive material inspection, security checks, nuclear plants and research field. Perovskites is considered as a promising candidate for X-ray detection owning to its remarkably improved sensitivity, low-cost synthesis, detection limit, response time and better special resolution. In this review paper the challenges and future scope of the reported work in the lead based and lead free single and polycrystalline perovskites is studied. Most of the reported results are based on single pixel detection. Hence, it is proposed that an interdisciplinary collaborative work will only facilitate its practical implementation in state-of-the-art X-ray imaging technology. (paper)
