Structural reactions in retina in case of fractionated neutron irradiation
Description
It is shown that in case of small doses of fractionated irradiation degenerative and reactive changes in pigment epithelium and radial gliacytes appear, which can bring about injury of refina neuronal population. Structural violations leading to progressive deterioration of eyesight occur, when the threshold dose of 3 Gy (1.5x2 times) is exceeded. 26 refs.; 6 figs
