Some problems on optimization of using targets in neutron generators

Description
Main reasons of instability related to target nodes of neutron generators: depletion of the target layer with tritium due to nuclear and chemical effects of deuteron beam on it; tritium extraction from the target as a result of thermal decomposition of metal hydride; cathode sputtering of the target and formation of radiation injuries in the working layer; introduction of foreign ions into the surface layer of the target are detected when studying problems on yield and stability increase of 14 MeV neutron flux. General methods of stability increase of target modes operation and fast neutrons yield from them are systematized
