Dynamical enhancement of the parity non-conservation effects for compound states and the giant Osup(-) resonances

Description
It is shown that the mechanism of dynamical enhancement of parity non-conservation effects in neutron resonances, due to mixing of main components of adjacent resonances with equal spin and opposite parities induced by the weak interaction, contradicts to the data on the structure of neutron resonances. A new mechanism is proposed for the mixing of adjacent resonances, based on an excitation of giant O- resonances by the weak interaction. Experimental manifestations of this mechanism are discussed
