Description

The invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the ions passing throughout a quadrupole analyzer or mass spectrometer. The apparatus is a simple axial system constituting a pre-filtering and an ionization device with a large input aperture. Said apparatus ensures the effective filtering of high energy ions, neutral atoms, photons and other particles so as to prevent them from reaching the quadrupole analyzer

L'invention concerne un appareil de controle du passage de masse de type quadripolaire. L'appareil est un ensemble axial simple formant un filtre prealable et un appareil d'ionisation ayant une ouverture d'entree de grande dimension utile. L'appareil assure efficacement le filtrage des ions de forte energie, des atomes neutres, des photons et des autres particules qui ne peuvent pas parvenir a l'analyseur quadripolaire
