Dosimetric characteristics of sensitized LiF:Mg, Ti disc prepared with cold-pressed and high-temperature sintered procedure

Sensitized LiF:Mg, Ti disc prepared with cold-pressed and high-temperature sintered procedure was investigated recently. The disc is extruded by cold molding with LiF:Mg, Ti material in power form and then the transparent disc is sintered at high temperature. After the disc is prepared, it is irradiated with gamma ray 500 Gy, and treated with special UV/thermal annealing oven. Compared with hot-pressed procedure, the preparation technology has shortened productive period, enhanced productive efficiency and reduced costs. The main dosimetric characteristics of this disc were studied. The experimental results showed that its TL sensitivity (light integration) was about 3.5 times as high as that of non-sensitized, its linearity range was 50 Gy-500 Gy, photon energy response ratio (930 keV 1,25 MeV) was about 1.04, there was no observable change in the glow curve structure and sensitivity of the disc after 10 reuse cycles.
