Apparatus for the remote repair of steam generator tubes
Description
This invention concerns steam generators for nuclear facilities. It specifically relates to an apparatus for the remote repair of the steam generator tubes of such facilities. In pressurized water nuclear reactors, primary fluid or coolant is pumped through such a reactor and a steam generator. The radioactive contaminants of the primary fluid deposit on the tubes and in the tube head of the steam generator, thereby subjecting the repair crews to significant radioactivity when working on this tube head. This is why the main aim of the invention is to devise an apparatus that can be operated remotely and can efficiently inspect and repair the tubes inside the steam generator so as to reduce the exposure of personnel to radiation

L'invention concerne les generateurs de vapeur d'installations nucleaires. Elle vise plus precisement un appareil pour reparer a distance les tubes d'un generateur de vapeur de telles installations. Dans les reacteurs nucleaires a eau sous pression, un fluide primaire ou caloporteur est pompe et traverse un tel reacteur et un generateur de vapeur, les contaminants radioactifs du fluide primaire sont disposes sur les tubes et dans la tete de canalisation du generateur a vapeur de sorte que les equipes de reparation sont soumises a une radioactivite appreciable lorsqu'elles travaillent dans cette tete de canalisation. C'est pourquoi le but principal de l'invention est de creer un appareil qui puisse etre conduit a distance et puisse efficacement controler et reparer les tubes a l'interieur du generateur de vapeur afin de reduire l'exposition du personnel aux radiationsAdditional details
