Design and performance of a new XAFS beamline at the photon factory; BL-12C
Description
A new XAFS beamline for the 6-23 keV energy range is described. A white beam emitted from a bending magnet (BM12) is monochromatized by a double crystal monochromator, then focused by a Rh coated bent cylindrical mirror. The focus size is 1.3 mm(H) x 0.6 mm(V) in FWHM and its position and shape is fixed independent of the photon energy. The flux passing through a 1 mm2 slit is 5x1010 s-1 at 9 keV when the stored current is 300 mA. The percentage of the third-order diffraction is less than 0.01% above 6 keV. (author)
