Description
The mechanism of extracting uranium (VI) with sulfoxides such as petroleum sulfoxide (PSO) and 2-ethyl-hexyl-tolyl sulfoxide (EHTSO) from nitric acid solution has been studied. The influences of the concentrations of nitric acid, extractant, salting-out agent and complex anion as well as temperature on the distribution ratio were observed. enthalpy of the extraction reaction was obtained
